Nemko Group acquires
SINTEF Norlab:

Paving the way

for sustainability

through the

creation of

Nemko Norlab

In a significant move within the Testing,
Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry,
Nemko Group, a global leader in certification
services for electrical products, acquired
SINTEF Norlab, Norway’s largest lab group
specialising in environmental monitoring,
chemical analyses, microbiology, and veterinary
medicine, on June 22, 2022. This merger led
to the creation of Nemko Norlab, a powerful
combination poised to provide integrated global
services to support the green transition.

Nemko Group CEO, Per Ove Øyberg, remarked
on the acquisition, stating, “The acquisition Norway
is an important next step on Nemko’s growth
journey and part of our sustainability strategy
of supporting a green transition through an
expansion of our services.”

Nemko Norlab, which remains under the
leadership of CEO Eigil Dåbakk, is geared Sweden
towards addressing current trends around the
circular economy, environmental considerations,
and sustainability. A clear demand has emerged
from businesses for differentiated solutions
supporting responsible sustainability efforts,
